Train for the Seattle Marathon or Half Marathon

The following classes are available for registration NOW through the City of Marysville Parks Department. Note the course ID Number.  Click here for Registration Form.
  • Seattle Marathon Training begins July 31st at 9:00 a.m.  (Course 6321)
  • Train for the Irongirl 5k or 10k begins July 31st at 8:00 a.m. (Course 6287)
  • Booty Busting Bootcamp ongoing $100 for 11 sessions (Course 6283)

Keep On Running Plan!

If you've finished your 5k and you're ready for a 10k or beyond, but not quite ready for the half or full marathon, sign up for one of the plans below.

The Base Builder plan is 8 weeks and will take you from running a 5k to running up to 8 miles with an easy finish.

The Base Building plan runs concurrent to the half/full marathon training, but with lower mileage. It's a great way to get your base training in for a Fall half or full marathon. There are a number of them out there that Journey Fitness runners will be running.

Both plans include training maps, turn by turn directions, support on your run day, seminars for distance runners, and a training program with weekly runs. Both plans start the week after the 5k plan finishes.

The Finish the Season plan runs through November and also includes a training shirt.

We'll meet Saturday mornings at Jennings Park at 9:00 a.m. Runs take from 1-2 hours, depending on distance!

Wellness and Nutrition Coaching

Add a Wellness Coaching or Nutrition Plan to any class!

Wellness coaching includes a monthly meeting to discuss nutrition or weight loss goals, fitness goals, and a workout with a trainer as well as access to our patented Vitabot Nutrition System. It is a collaborative program where we work together on all aspects of your physical and nutritional health so that you get results!

If you're just looking to improve your nutrition so that you're fueling correctly to meet all of the things life demands of you, subscribe to the fantastic Vitabot Nutrition Program. Includes one training session either in person or over the phone, and 24/7 access to the program for as little as $9.17 a month!

Nutrition and Wellness Coaching
Booty Busting Bootcamp!
Join us for one, two, three or four of six weekly sessions to bust your booty in a challenging, fun, bootcamp program. My goal is to help you reach your goal of building a stronger cardiovascular system, building muscle, avoiding injury, and having FUN!

Classes are Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. and during the summer, Monday through Thursday mornings at 5:30 a.m. Class will be a combination of running/walking, cardio, strength (using fitness bands), and core work.

Starting in mid-September, morning classes will run on Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-6:25 at Jennings Park. Evening classes will run 5:30-6:30 at MPHS track.

Purchase a punchcard through the City of Marysville Parks and Rec for less than $10 a session! Punch cards are good for 10 sessions, with your 11th one FREE! Course 6283. Part of the cost of the class goes to support Healthy Communities!

Bring to your first class:
  • Water
  • Yoga mat
  • Fitness band
  • Hand weights (suggested 3 and 5 pounds)
  • Running shoes
Classes will be held at Jennings Park at 6915 Armar Road, Marysville.

Note there will be approximately one week of no classes in July.

Monthly cost is $50 for once a week, $75 for twice a week. Drop in classes are $12 each. If you're unsure, try your first class free!
