What is the Base Builders Program?

If you've finished your 5k and you're ready for a 10k or beyond, but not quite ready for the half or full marathon, sign up for one of the plans below.
The Base Builder plan is 8 weeks and will take you from running a 5k to running up to 8 miles with an easy finish.
The Base Building plan runs concurrent to the half/full marathon training, but with lower mileage. It's a great way to get your base training in for a Fall half or full marathon. There are a number of them out there that Journey Fitness runners will be running.
Both plans include training maps, turn by turn directions, support on your run day, seminars for distance runners, and a training program with weekly runs. Both plans start the week after the 5k plan finishes.
The Finish the Season plan runs through November and also includes a training shirt.
We'll meet Saturday mornings at Jennings Park at 9:00 a.m. Runs take from 1-2 hours, depending on distance!
